You’re Invited! Senior Health Festival

Getting the right health and wellness information doesn’t always mean making a dreaded trip to the doctor’s office. For one day, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about resources for your personal health and wellness needs, while having a great day with friends and family.

You’re invited to our Senior Health Fest, hosted by Kendal-Crosslands Communities, on Saturday, May 20th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Join us for food, fun, music and more!

This distinctive event will showcase a variety of information booths and speakers to help you and your family stay informed on the best ways to stay healthy and active, while providing you with the resources to do so. Guest speakers will include Dr. George E. Ledakis, with his presentation titled Healthy Minds; Brenda Loube of Corporate Fitness Works with her presentation titled Secrets to Living Well; and a presentation by Penn Medicine titled Manage Your Health: Before, During & After a Hospital Stay.

These exclusive event speakers will offer you valuable knowledge that will serve you throughout your retirement years. By taking a holistic approach, you’ll learn more about emotional and physical health, and be better prepared to live your best lifestyle yet.

Senior Health Fest will have something for everyone! Interested in learning a new form of exercise? Join us for demonstrations of Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art, and yoga. Want to explore the beautiful Kendal campus? Take a bird walk, garden walk, Arboretum walk, or two other short, scheduled hikes during your visit. Additional attractions include chair massages, face painting, and more.

Health stations will offer valuable screenings and information about blood pressure, nutrition and exercise, heart attack, stroke, balance and fall prevention. Medication drop off and document shredding services will also be available at this event, so be sure to bring any unwanted medications or personal papers. Senior Health Fest will be held rain or shine!
