A Good Place to Work

Kendal~Crosslands Communities (KCC) values and fosters a high-quality work experience for staff, recognizing that our communities must be good places to work if they are to be good places to live.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

What a great day! Fifty daughters, sons, and other guests attended the KCC observance of Take Our Daughters & Sons To Work Day on April 25, 2013.  Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day has inspired a future generation of girls and boys by helping bring them into the workplace to explore the many life choices they have. The children spent time with their parents and also participated in a planned schedule of activities including a visit from the Delaware Valley Demo Dogs and a free swim at the Kendal Aquatics Center.

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Kendal~Crosslands Communities (KCC) staff members are invited to participate, as part of their regular work day, for the Day of Sharing  in the local community. KCC began sponsoring a day of service for KCC staff in 2005 and the wider Kennett Square, PA community now joins in for volunteer service activities at local nonprofit organizations and churches.  More than 400 boxes of nonperishable food items were collected to benefit the Kennett Area Community Services and were delivered to the Kennett Food Cupboard on MLK, Jr. Day as one of the MLK Jr. Day of Sharing projects on Monday, January 21, 2013.
