At Kendal-Crosslands Communities, located in Kennett Square, PA, having little ones playing on the campus, learning their ABCs, singing songs, or making cupcakes for a resident’s birthday are just some of the beautiful sights and fellowships that residents and staff treasure.
Recently, the children assisted residents with banding Purple Martin birds who nest on the campus.
This multi-generation interaction is cherished on a daily basis and these little ones are not inhibited by their obvious distance in years – – but easily united by a spirit of friendship.
And while our on site child learning center provides wonderful volunteer opportunities and kinship, residents’ grandchildren enjoy being on campus and enjoying the camaraderie with their loved ones as well. There are plenty of spaces to enjoy family time – time that will be cherished for a lifetime.
