At Kendal~Crosslands Communities, we offer a full range of Rehabilitation services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Full service therapy departments are located at both our Kendal at Longwood and Crosslands campuses. We employ a team of experienced professionals dedicated to the health and wellness of those we serve.
We provide services to all our residents, in all stages of living (independent living, personal care, or skilled nursing) as well as to individuals from the larger community who come to our Health Centers for a short stay. Should you wish to inquire about a short-term rehabilitation stay with us, feel free to call us at (610) 388-1444.
Our Physical Therapists specialize in the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and physical function. Therapists strive to manage/reduce pain and improve and restore mobility. Physical Therapists teach residents how to prevent or manage their conditions so that they will achieve long-term health benefits
Our Occupational Therapists specialize in teaching residents how to participate in activities of daily living in order to promote independence and the highest level of functioning. Occupational Therapists provide a comprehensive evaluation of a resident’s home and make recommendations for adaptive equipment and training in its use. They also provide guidance and education for family members and caregivers.
Speech-Language Pathologists work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Speech Therapy helps to improve cognitive aspects of communication including listening, reading, writing, and language interpretation.
