Rehabilitation

Kendal~Crosslands Communities offers a full range of Rehabilitation services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Therapy departments are located on both our Kendal at Longwood and Crosslands campuses. We employ a team of experienced professionals at our retirement rehabilitation centers who are dedicated to the health and wellness of those we serve. We provide services to all our residents, in all stages of living (independent living, personal care, or skilled nursing) as well as to individuals from the larger community who come to our Health Centers for a short stay. Physical Therapy

Our Physical Therapists specialize in the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement
and mobility. We strive to reduce and manage pain and improve physical function. Physical
Therapists provide individualized and comprehensive exercise programs to help residents
achieve long term functional benefits.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists specialize in training residents to optimize their ability to perform activities of daily living. Occupational Therapists also perform home assessments, provide
recommendations for improved safety, and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment as needed.

Speech Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists specialize in the improvement of one’s cognition, speech articulation, and social communication as well as the treatment of swallowing dysfunction. Our Speech Therapists are LSVT (also known as LOUD) certified for the care of resident’s with neurological impairments.

CARF Accreditation and Skilled Nursing

Kendal~Crosslands maintains CARF accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Our staff is committed to improving the quality of our services and meeting internationally-recognized standards at our retirement rehabilitation centers. We also offer long-term and short-term skilled nursing for our residents.
