February 10, 2022 —Kennett Square, Pennsylvania (Jan. 14, 2020) — Richard Wortmann, Clerk of the Board of Directors, has announced that veteran health care administrator Lisa Marsilio has been selected as Kendal-Crosslands Communities‘ new CEO. Marsilio’s first day at KCC will be Jan. 21.
Marsilio has extensive experience leading health care organizations. From 2015 to 2019, she served as COO of Caron Treatment Centers, a nationally known, not-for-profit provider of addiction and behavioral health care for more than 60 years. During her tenure, she streamlined the admissions and intake process, analyzed fiscal efficiency, championed ethical marketing practices, expanded research programs and promoted the use of outcomes-based treatment.
Marsilio’s experience also includes three years as CEO/Executive Director of a post-acute care network created to serve the University of Pennsylvania Health System and six years as a Vice President and Administrator with the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in Allentown and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In those roles, Lisa worked collaboratively with patients, staff and local communities to achieve positive growth by focusing on best practices and quality outcomes.
“I am very excited to serve as CEO of Kendal-Crosslands Communities. I look forward to opportunities to support innovation, leverage technology and implement growth strategies to support person-centered care,” Marsilio said. “I truly believe that together we can transform the experience of aging.”
Marsilio also served for six years as an adjunct faculty member of the Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College in Allentown teaching courses on health care delivery systems, regulatory compliance and marketing. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Muhlenberg College and master’s degree in business administration from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.

Marsilio succeeds Phil DeBaun, now CEO at Foulkeways at Gwyneed, a Life Care Community in suburban Philadelphia.
